INPATIENT REHABILITATION SERVICES

Grace Cottage Hospital offers a full range of skilled rehabilitation services with the primary goal of returning the individual to home, at the highest level of independence possible, following illness or injury. All services are provided in an integrated manner, with physician oversight of the total rehabilitation program.

Typical conditions include stroke, fractures and joint replacements, cardiac and pulmonary conditions, trauma, amputation and various neuromuscular or other debilitating conditions.

Services include:

• Physical, occupational and speech/swallowing therapy given 7 days a week.

• 24 hour skilled nursing
• Wound care
• Tracheostomy care
• Medication adjustment
• Pain management
• Nutrition Services including Total Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition
• Therapeutic recreation
• Laboratory and Blood Bank
• Radiology services
• Psychiatric consultation
• Social Services and Discharge Planning
• Home Assessment performed by PT and/or OT in preparation for a patient's return home.
