| Around and About The Otis Health Care Center:
Physician Assistant Maureen Mahoney
Grace
Cottage Family Health’s new Physician Assistant Maureen Mahoney
brings special training in sports injuries to the practice. With
a Bachelor’s degree in sports science from Colby-Sawyer College,
a Master’s in teaching, and a Physician Assistant degree from Cornell,
she’s highly qualified.
Maureen grew up in Hinsdale and played high school
basketball, field hockey and softball there, and she
continued her athletic endeavors in college, playing
basketball and softball.
After a 15-year career in athletic training, most
recently as Head Athletic Trainer at Wellesley
College, Maureen chose to pursue her P.A. degree so
that she could be more involved in treating athletic
injuries, and so that she could work with a wider
array of patients.
Maureen is excited to be back in the area, living so
near to her hometown. She and her partner, Susan
Schmitt, live in Brattleboro with their son Daniel,
who was born in October 2007.
