Emergency Volunteers Needed
We’ve all heard stories of heroes who have stepped
forward to help during public health emergencies and
natural disasters. Health care professionals have a
special role to play during these events because of their
invaluable medical training. Barb Williams, Director of
Education and Training, is compiling a list of active or
retired health professionals who live in the area, or who
visit regularly, and could help during an emergency.
This effort is in response to a Vermont Department
of Health directive asking hospitals to be prepared for
a variety of emergencies by conducting inventories of
facilities, supplies, and personnel.
If you’re a retired health professional living nearby, even part-time, please
call Barb at (802) 365-3634 or e-mail her at barbw@otishealthcarecenter.org.
