| Community Health Fair – May 17, 2008
Grace Cottage Hospital offers a variety of special-focus Wellness
workshops, but the first-ever Community Health Fair will take more
of a smorgasbord approach.
A wide variety of non-
profit health and safety
organizations and agencies
will present information
about the services they offer
at this fun and informative
free event.
The Community Health Fair will be held on Saturday, May 17, 10 AM to 2 PM,
at Leland and Gray High School in Townshend.

Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center’s emergency
rescue
helicopter will land during the Community Health Fair in
Townshend on Saturday, May 17th. |
Kids will enjoy seeing the
fire and safety equipment and touring the state’s fire
safety house, which takes a hand-on approach to teaching
about fire hazards and what to do in case of a fire. Adults
will learn about what’s available to help with many health
needs. Free blood pressure and blood sugar tests will be
available.
Barring emergencies or
inclement weather, the
Dartmouth Hitchcock
Medical Center’s DHART
emergency helicopter will
land during the event.
The Burlington chapter of
the American Red Cross
will hold a blood drive,
and the Rutland Regional
Medical Center Bone
Marrow Registry will
register participants to
become potential donors.
With three dozen or more organizations represented, those who come to the
Community Health Fair will take home a wealth of information to
help them take better care of themselves. For more information call
(802) 365-9109.
