The Gift of Giving
Many people remember Grace Cottage in their wills,
knowing that a bequest will help Grace Cottage to
continue to provide the type of care they received
here. The following people gave generously of their
time, talent and energy during their lifetimes, and then
continued to give to the hospital, via bequests.

June Kipp – A former New York
City fashion designer, Kipp retired to Townshend and became
very active in the community. In addition to owning the Video
Store in Townshend, June was very involved in town government
and the library, and passionate about gardening and the Red
Sox. June died in June, 2007. |

Leon Ingall & Warren Kronemeyer – Owners
of Warle Antiques, Warren and Leon moved their business from
Lexington & 80th in New York City to Route 35 in Townshend in
1980 and made their indelible mark on the community in so many
ways. Their home and property is now the site of Valley Cares
(see above). Leon died in July, 2002; Warren in October, 2007. |
Richard
and Frances Kearley – Owners of Kearley’s Garage in
Townshend (now D & G’s Garage) and former owners of the home
that is now Dery Antiques, Fran and Rich Kearley not only lived
in the heart of town, but were considered by many to have been
the heart and soul of Townshend for decades. They were avid
hospital volunteers. Rich died in 1999; Fran died in December,
2006. |
