TOWNSHEND – The Board of Trustees of Grace Cottage Hospital/Otis Health Care Center has appointed Mick Brant to the position of hospital administrator and chief executive officer, effective May 19, 2008.

“A national search firm did a comprehensive search and presented us with eight highly qualified candidates,” said Roger Allbee, Chairman of the Board of Trustees. “We interviewed four outstanding individuals, and Mick Brant was the unanimous choice of the search committee and the Board of Trustees. Grace Cottage’s employees have enthusiastically welcomed him as part of the team, and we look forward to a long and productive relationship.”

A native of Yuma, Colorado, Brant has a Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Colorado. He has been the Chief Operating Officer at the Otis Health Care Center since January, 2008. Prior to holding this position, Brant was Vice President of Information Services and Clinics at Yuma District Hospital in Yuma, Colorado. Brant lives in Londonderry, Vermont, with his wife, Laura, who is the Director of Radiology at Grace Cottage Hospital.
